a knight to remember.

we finally made it on the right day this year to attend the legoland mile marathon. last year we arrived an entire day late and had no idea haha. this hotel is so fun for the kids. each time we stay we let them choose the room theme and this time they chose the knight room. it was such a fun weekend with the kids and friends. we definitely look forward to making it a yearly tradition.
a little peek of our trip.
we arrived a bit later than we thought but were so excited to be there. hands down their favorite hotel to stay at.

we always have to start our stay with the treasure hunt.

after running all over the hotel they finally got their safe open;)
a little before bed hotel tradition. a "knight" to remember.

we were cracking up that dylan packed his baseball trophy. on trips we always let them pack this cars suitcase with whatever toys they want to bring.

the next morning bright and early.. ok well 8 am.

loved these shirts I found for the boys online at children's place. when we were walking to get in line at the run (a bit late per usual haha) the announcer pointed them out because of their shirts to all on the microphone.
their little bibs.
our attempt at our trip family picture.

their first legoland mile marathon medals.

loved that aaron snapped this of the boys and I. ayden ran the entire course while dylan has his moments in the stroller we brought for ayden haha.
ready, set, go.
he found the one chair haha. aaron was such a trooper. he threw out his back a couple days prior.

carb loading before the race haha.

the finish line. ayden is so competitive haha.
this ninja turtle goes with ayden everywhere and this run was no exception. he earned his own medal ;)

met up with our friends for breakfast and a day of fun at the park after the run. we all had a blast.

I rode this ride multiple times because poor ayden wasn't tall enough to ride it with the rest of the kids. we made it fun- just the two of us.
loved chatting and catching up with jessica and the rest of the gang while in lines with the kids.

my favorite picture of the kids that day. just missing my little ayden. he refused this ride, I don't blame him haha.

ayden was so excited to show his medal and his tee to miss cece on monday.

dylan brought his medal to class and his teacher had him present it in front of the class and tell them about his weekend fun. he loved it.
