this morning we celebrated ms. beauchamps 1/2 birthday! alaina had the idea to wait for her 1/2 birthday to celebrate her since the beginning of the year so we've had this in the works for months now. another mom offered to make a chocolate cake while I picked up a vanilla cake at the store haha.;) alaina sent an email to all the parents to see if they wanted to contribute to a glen ivy gift card and to have the children make her a handmade card. we collected over $100! we knew she loved chocolate and sunflowers so we made sure to include those items, blew up a few balloons, hung a couple banners and set everything up while she and the kids attended chapel. It wasn't much but just a little something to show our love. her reaction was priceless and then the tears of joy began to stream down her face and it was impossible to not join in. I think what alaina and I loved the most about today was that the timing was beyond perfect. this has been the first week since the beginning of the school year that our peppy, fun loving teacher was overly tired and stressed to the max. I think she really appreciated it. such a fun morning and the only thing that would have made it better was that if i wouldn't have had to go to the dentist later that morning.;)
