summer break randomness.

we are finally on summer break! πŸ™ŒπŸŽ‰ I loooooove summer (☀❤ its my favorite) yet for a person that thrives on schedules and routines I sometimes have a hard time adjusting to being still. I have all that silly mom guilt when we get nothing accomplished for a day and yet it feels so good to be free of commitments. I've been wanting to pick up my computer but just haven't had or made the time lately so I'm just going to dive in again and see where it goes from here. scrolling through my page trying to decide which direction I want to go, I've decided that the posts I enjoy the most are the random little moments of our days that I was documenting. I have my family blog that I have made into several books and still treasure to this day (http://lovelaughterandoureverafter.blogspot.com if you want to see a million super cute pics and videos of dylan and ayden as a baby😍) but now that we've passed a lot of the boys "firsts" (first bite of carrots, first time in the pool etc) right now I feel yearning to focus on all the little, real moments, because I look back on them with thankfulness and lessons learned. the good, the bad, the usually silly -truth. us. taking my thankful journal and combining it with this blog, while also keeping with my original thoughts to document the ways I enjoy sprinkling the boys and others with love. little family parties, silly little set ups and surprises for the boys and others brings me joy and fulfills my creative side. not always having pictures to go with my stories and being ok with that. of course the pictures usually prompt my thoughts on here so we will see how that goes with my memory haha.

summer break!πŸŽ‰this is how we've been spending most of our time lately- floating in a pool. my little fish. so happy that ayden is finally loving swimming this year and dylan is finally pool safe.

found them. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ hide and go seek one day with the boys.

fun night catching up with the revollos. we've missed them and it had been forever since we had gotten the chance to coordinate our schedules, so when jenny texted me about getting together I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I love how simple our date can be and we always are laughing and having a good time.

not the best pictures but I love my husband. he always has my back when I need something, sometimes begrudgingly(πŸ˜‚) like when I ask him to get up in front of the entire pizza party with me to speak on my behalf but I know I can always count on him. He is not a huge baseball fan, or sports fan at that because he didn't grow up playing anything but he fully supports the boys in everything they do- and me with all my volunteering haha. he always helps me with carrying the tons of equipment or party supplies I've committed myself into bringing for sed event. this season I volunteered to be the team mom on dylans baseball team. so. much. work. And there were a great many times when I questioned what the heck I was doing taking on all this on top of all the other things I had volunteered for. tears were definitely shed during the weeks leading up to a psf event due to the stress of it all. but a the end of the day I always look back on anything I've volunteered for or helped be a part of with a sense of accomplishment and never any regret. It's fun and I enjoy the process. my point was that scrolling through the random pictures I love this one of aaron finding this random ice cream man during a game, while I was in the dugout with the kids, and purchasing ice cream for the team because I had told him the person in charge of snacks was not there that day. not only that but he asked him to come back in a half hour so they were not melted for the kids. love him. the kids were way thankful.

I loved finding this wood ranch word scramble in my bathroom one night from dylan.

I love these pictures because ayden has this fascination with being a big boy right now. he is constantly showing us his muscles to illustrate how big he is. this was a park field trip with dylans class that I had brought ayden to and he was so cute because he couldn't wait to have his snack with the big kids. you can see the total interest in the big boys eyes as he pulls out and presents everything he helped me pack for him that day.πŸ˜‚

and we've never missed a chance to celebrate #nationaldonutday. this year we enticed grammy to join us even though it was against her dietary restrictions (πŸ˜‰) and then headed to the splash pad to run off all that sugar. I loved waking up to this past week and seeing all the years we had celebrated this indulgent day together haha I finally decided to screen shot one of them. 6 years straight. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜‚

so happy to have aaron back home.πŸ™Œ he looked so cute in his rose pepper shirt when he opened the car door that I snapped a pic of him. he's used to my picture taking shenangians so he posed haha
we survived by face timing him the entire time he was gone. literally haha. the boys were usually naked and doing little dances for him because naked humor is all the rage with them - since birth. πŸ™ˆ
